Kabrena is an Afro-Jamaican writer, creative and author based in Toronto with a specialized focus on issues relating to social justice, race, ethnicity, the Caribbean community and Caribbean-Canadian Diaspora. She has done extensive reporting on the Caribbean community and diaspora in Canada working as a reporter for the Toronto Caribbean Newspaper– Toronto’s largest Caribbean community newspaper focused on strengthening, building and empowering the community.
